Hi, I'm Karolina
In 2004, I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Industrial Design from Emily Carr University. I recently updated my skills with a certificate in Communication Design Essentials from Emily Carr/BCIT, which I completed in 2019 with distinction. I have worked as a freelance designer in Hawaii, California, Montreal, Victoria and Vancouver. My interdisciplinary experience in product and communication design has given me unique skills and perspectives that allow me to approach creative challenges in a unique way. I am a passionate designer that is constantly eager to find and solve the next creative challenge.
Having moved to Canada from Poland at a young age, I am grateful to live and work on the unceded territories of the Lekwungen peoples (Songhees and Esquimalt First Nations). As a settler, it is my priority to learn the truth about the creation of Canada and to reflect on my role here as a visitor. As part of this commitment, I contribute pro bono work to Indigenous organizations as a way to give back to the communities.
